Our goal is to offer services to all who are incarcerated in Monroe County Correctional Facility and meet the minimum requirements.

Requirements for Acceptance:

  • The individual must regularly attend church services while incarcerated.
  • The individual must be taking classes to address the issues that led to their incarceration (i.e., Drug & Alcohol or relevant education)
  • The individual must be eligible for Work Release.
  • The individual must receive a recommendation by the Chaplain or other local Clergy.
  • The individual must be a resident of Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

The Scope of the Task:

On Friday, April 15, there were 401 people incarcerated in  the Monroe County Correctional Facility. Most of them (400) are local offenders.

All but 38 will be released  within two years. Currently we are reviewing 128 who could be released by October, 2011.
